Deconstructed Crepe: Catalonian Style
Walking through the aisles at La Boqueria in Barcelona (aka the GREATEST place on earth!), I stumbled upon a food stall owned by the most adorable, friendly man, overly excited about cooking me up the tastiest crepe I have ever consumed. His contagious personality of pure friendliness pulls every passerby into his world of deconstructed crepes, and seals the deal with a cup of his homemade cider for just a Euro more.
Now, I’ve had my share of crepes in France, but THIS baby tops them all. And if you know how many I’ve eaten, that’s one hell of a statement! The crepe that stole my heart: fig, brie and caramelized walnuts….
….til’ we meet again, my fine, golden-brown piece of heaven (I’m referring to the crepe, that is!)…
Oh how I wish I’d seen this when we had our fresh figs! I love goat’s cheese and figs… but brie, figs, walnuts and crepes = match made in heaven 🙂
Right?! It’s amazing! Remember it for next time!!
Oh I love fresh figs, its very hard to get them in Ireland, so will remember to try those crepes if I am in Barcelona again.
They’re epic!
