After much consideration, I will be re-formating and re-branding myself into a direction that not only makes a little more sense, but after much feedback from prospective travelers, could be extremely helpful.
While I’ll still be posting about countries, cities, towns, day trips and more, I will add a brand new section showcasing small itineraries completely broken down with all costs, planning, what to see, things to consider avoiding to maximize time and more. I will be looking at my travels with the idea of covering a certain itinerary in a one to two-week span (possibly three, but nothing larger than that). Basically, even if I were to be on the road for months, I will only be focusing on a few weeks at a time, all while constructing amazing, budget-friendly and exciting journeys for YOU! Let ME be the guinea pig to your dream destination!
Why am I doing this?
I am re-branding myself into shoestring travel because of the majority of my readers, friends, family and general people I speak with cannot find the time to travel the lengths I usually do. Time constraints paired with the “I can’t afford it” notions, and you’re left with a recipe for having your feet firmly planted and your mind wandering. Yes, I am extremely lucky and fortunate to be able to get up, go and not worry about losing my job or not having time-off from work granted, but most aren’t that lucky. I feel that breaking trips down into a small time period, showing routes and loops to travel will be beneficial to many, and hopefully inspire those who are stuck thinking they can’t travel.
I can’t wait to share what the new Roaming Bean has in store!!!
